Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about 24 KARAT Murrah Buffalo Bilona Ghee, purity testing, and morning ritual usage.

Product & Bilona Process

Why is Buffalo Bilona Ghee white/creamish in color unlike yellow cow ghee?
Murrah Buffalo milk naturally converts beta-carotene into Vitamin A, giving pure buffalo bilona ghee its signature pure white to ivory cream color. It is denser, richer in natural fats, and has a higher smoke point (250°C) than cow ghee.
What makes the Bilona method different from commercial ghee?
Commercial factories extract cream directly from raw milk using high-speed centrifuges and boil it at industrial temperatures. 24 KARAT ferments whole A2 milk into curd overnight, then hand-churns the curd with a two-way wooden Bilona (Valona) to extract raw makkhan before slow wood-fire clarification in earthen clay pots.
Why do you boil milk in earthen terracotta clay pots?
Terracotta clay is porous, allowing slow uniform heat distribution that prevents scorching. Clay also infuses essential alkaline minerals (calcium, magnesium, iron) into the milk while neutralizing acidity.

Health, Ayush & Daily Usage

How should I consume 24 KARAT Ghee every morning?
Take 1 tablespoon of 24 KARAT Ghee in a cup of warm water or warm milk first thing on an empty stomach. This lubricates the gastrointestinal tract, ignites digestive Agni, and aids smooth morning bowel movement.
Is Buffalo Ghee good for joint pain and flexibility?
Yes! In Ayurveda, Buffalo Ghee is specifically prescribed for Vata imbalance and joint stiffness. Its rich fatty acid spectrum provides deep Snehana (internal oleation) for joints, cartilage, and bone marrow.
