About Our Ghee
Learn more about 24 KARAT and what makes our ghee special.
What is 24 KARAT A2 Buffalo Bilona Desi Ghee?
24 KARAT A2 Buffalo Bilona Desi Ghee is made using the traditional Bilona method from A2 buffalo milk (Murrah breed). The milk is first turned into curd, then hand-churned to extract white butter, which is slowly cooked in brass kadhai to make pure, aromatic ghee. It is 100% natural, with no additives or preservatives.
Why is it called A2 Buffalo Ghee?
Our milk comes from native Murrah buffaloes whose milk naturally contains the A2 type of beta-casein protein. That is why we call it A2 Buffalo Ghee.
How is it different from regular ghee?
Most commercial ghee is made from cream using high-heat industrial processes. Ours is made from curd, hand-churned (Bilona) and slow-cooked in brass — giving a richer aroma, grainy texture and better nutrition.
Is it suitable for children and elderly people?
Yes. Pure desi ghee has been part of Indian diets for all ages for centuries. For specific medical conditions, please consult your doctor.
Does it contain any additives or preservatives?
No. Our ghee contains only one ingredient — A2 buffalo milk fat. No colours, flavours, additives or preservatives.

Bilona Process
Understand our traditional method, step by step.
What is the Bilona method?
Bilona is a centuries-old Vedic process: milk is boiled and set into curd, the curd is churned with a wooden churner (bilona) to get makkhan (butter), and the butter is slowly heated to make ghee.
Why do you use curd and not cream?
Curd-churning preserves the natural goodness of whole milk and gives ghee its characteristic aroma, flavour and grainy texture — something cream-based ghee cannot match.
What type of buffalo milk do you use?
We use fresh milk from healthy, grass-fed A2 Murrah buffaloes raised by trusted farmers around Aligarh.
Does the process involve high heat or chemicals?
No. The butter is cooked on a low flame in brass kadhai, and no chemicals are used at any stage.

Health & Nutrition
Discover the nutritional benefits of our ghee.
What are the health benefits of Buffalo Desi Ghee?
Desi ghee is a source of healthy fats and fat-soluble vitamins A, D and E. It supports digestion, provides sustained energy and has a high smoke point that makes it ideal for Indian cooking.
Is it suitable for a keto diet?
Yes. Ghee is pure fat with zero carbohydrates, which makes it a popular choice for keto and low-carb diets.
Does it contain cholesterol?
Like all animal fats, ghee contains dietary cholesterol (approx. 159 mg per 100 g). Enjoy it as part of a balanced diet.
How much ghee can I consume daily?
For most healthy adults, 1–2 teaspoons a day as part of a balanced diet is a good guideline. Your needs may vary with your lifestyle.
